OUR PROGRAM
Knobby’s Kids is a free program for kids, from age 5 to 14 that teaches skating and hockey. Older kids, aged 13 to 16, may be eligible to play with Knobby’s Kids Seniors.
Please note that 2024-2025 season registrartion is currently full. If you would like to be put on the contact list for the upcoming 2025-2026 season please email play@knobbyskids.ca with 2025-2026 in the subject line.

Thanks to the Lanspery Park Staff and a bit of cold weather that allowed us to have ice for opening day this year. Our first skate of 2024-25 went well. We outfitted a few more kids and were able to get everyone out and skating.

Feb 17 We had family skate during our normal ice times. The Windsor Fire Department, Essex-Windsor EMS and Windsor Police we there with vehicle and staff to show the kids and adults. There was our first ever Family Day Brunch at the Polish Hall. We had team mascots that visited throughout the morning.
Feb 10 Skating was cancelled as the ice was in bad condition due to the warm weather.

CTV NEWS Knobby's Kids visit the Windsor Spitfires
Feb 3 Skating and Hockey for all groups. Knobby's Kids got to visit the Windsor Spitfires on their home rink, the WFCU Centre. It was an awesome event We had a great time with the Windsor Spitfires. Our Knobby's Kids and their families got to skate with players and get autographs. Ace, Bomber, and Spike came out as well. The Spitfires treated us to lunch after the event. Everyone had a great time. We would like to thank the Windsor Spitfires for being such great hosts.

Dec 23 Family Skating from 8 to 11 and Santa Claus at 9:30 am
We had a successful day on the 23rd. Family skate went well and the ice held up despite the weather. Santa and Buddy the Elf had a great visit with everyone. We would like to thank all the volunteers who made our event a great success and worked hard to make sure everyone had a fun time.
Dec 16 Skating and Hockey as scheduled
Dec 8 As of 4:30 pm Friday the ice is ready. Good to Skate and Play Hockey on Saturday December 9th. We will email you if the ice conditions change.
Dec 1 Hockey / Skating cancelled for Dec as Ice is not ready due to weather.
Nov 29 It's cold and there is ice at the Lion's Rink. We will be starting hockey this coming Saturday (December 2). See you at the rink.
Nov 19 Our equipment day was a great success. The weather was good and we ere able to get everyone outfitted. Thanks to all the volunteers that made it possible and to everyone who came out. We had long lines at some times but everyone was patient and it made the process go smoothly.
